In 2004 we decided to start the STOCKSBRIDGE herd of Pedigree Limousins. We purchased 10 females which were mainly cows with female calves at foot from the Greenwll, Tomschoice, Fewacres, Wanlass and Tickhill herds. The herd senior sires are used on the commercial cattle as well as the pedigrees. AI semen from Ronick Hawk has been used in 2007 followed by Stocksbridge Alpha where required.
The herd started with the purchase of 10 cows in 2004 and 10 heifers are to be bulled in early 2006. Herd females include Grenwell Noreen, Greenwell USA, Hallingbury Hannah, Normande Inkie, Wanlass Jasmine, Fewacres Red lady and several Tickhill herd females. |
